Having already read "Final Hours", this makes for a nice lead-in to the premise of that story. It is almost the polar opposite of when Data was coming to terms with his own mortality in "Time's Arrow" and even more depressing for Odo knowing that he will outlive even his children and his grandchildren.

Author's Response: The Final Hours is actually an excerpt of this story. Data though had it easy because in Time's Arrow he had no emotions to contend with...
