Some tender moments here, first involving Megan and her "new" family. For Kulgru/Sarah, it's certainly frustrating knowing how much of her life is missing, so who can blame her for wanting it all back overnight. For Megan, on the other hand, she seems more like the outsider, having lived her whole life as a human. She's torn between having this new family and now being one among many with a mother she's not sure she knows now.
Bashir's efforts to win over Ezri seemed reminiscent of his futile attempts to court Jadzia. He's sure come a long way from that bitter person who wanted little or nothing to do with Ezri at the beginning of this series.
Seems like Brunt is everywhere. Not that it's a real surprise for someone in his position, but he does have the kind of arrogance that makes you want to punch him in the face. Rom seems to really be questioning his own competence as Nagus, but hopefully what he does best in terms breaking computer encryptions can bail him out.

I really enjoyed the banter between Kira and Ezri--rather reminiscent of Season 1 Kira and Jadzia.
As for the scene on Ferenginar, Quark, Rom and Ishka really played off each other well, especially with "Moogie" having to referee the usual brotherly bickering. That was rather galling of Quark to proclaim that these problems wouldn't have happened if he were Nagus. What's interesting to note is that Ishka is once again wielding power from behind the scenes, even though she and Zek retired to Risa. I suppose that's a whole other story, though.

Excellent chapter from beginning to end outlining Megan's own inner doubts about further embracing her true heritage. I especially enjoyed the description of some of her perceptions and how they changed after the first round of injections. I was a little confused at the beginning at who Kulgru and had to re-read the first paragraph to realize Sarah Felpes is now Kulgru from here on out, I take it.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it because I really wanted to convey to the reader the journey Megan was on!

Wow, nice tie-in to some of the economic crises affecting the US and Europe in recent years.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'd imagine the Ferengi must have undergone similar things with their economy many a time, though at least they can't print their currency as it ain't fiat!

Sounds like embezzlement-style trouble's a-brewin' in Ferenginar!
And the Vizorians - is Sarah a human? I'm catching (did you intend this) a reference to the Biblical Sarah, who conceived when she was 99 years old.
Author's Response: Ha ha ha! Erm have you read Knowing Oneself and Reunion before this story? Please do so because a) Sarah is not 99 years old, and b) when I wrote the Sarah character the Bible was the last thing I had in mind.
To answer your question regarding Sarah it's best to read the two stories I mentioned above, and things will become a lot more clearer to you. The Vizorian part of the story only works if you have read these two stories, otherwise it is rather confusing... Anyway glad you like the Ferengi part of this story!
