I keep meaning to catch up on these, and never got around to finishing this story's last chapter. Again the VC looks like something the Federation could evolve into in a couple thousand or million years (a population of 41 trillion, much like the Tkon Empire). Of course, I'll have re-read "Embers of Quelth" with its hints that there's a darker to the VC's history.
Author's Response: Yeah Embers of Quellth is like a preview to my 2nd season's finale, which has the working title First Strike. That will look into just a little of the history of the Vizorian galaxy, for one thing the Vizorian Confederacy has enemies in this galaxy: from the Betrexian Alliance, to even hidden ones; certain states inside of the Confederacy. The Confederacy only controls at most half of this galaxy. I have a hand-drawn map, a rather simple one, that shows the shape of this galaxy and where the major players are. I'll be posting a picture of it in First Strike.
About the darker side of the Vizorian Confederacy, it was born many years after the war between the Tren and the Vizorians. The confederacy came about after constant wars, land grabs (if there's such a thing in space!) and power struggles. There's so much to the Vizorian Confederacy and its history, plus the most important races of the Vizorians, that I'll be devoting a few chapters of my series bible to elaborate about all of this.

This story is off to a good start with a mirror image of the Federation, accept with their policy of isolationism. So far, I'm guessing that Megan and her mother are representatives of a faction that doesn't agree with that policy, and so they resort to more surreptitious methods of exploring other realms. Staying tuned...
Author's Response: Glad you like the Vizorian Confederacy!
