Summary:

Wolf 359: The lone Borg cube, led by former Starfleet captain Jean-Luc Picard, cleaves a path for Earth through a fleet of thirty-nine Starfleet vessels. Not a single one of them survived the attack, and over ten thousand officers and enlisted lost their lives. In the immediate aftermath of the attack, Lieutenant (jg) January McKenna of the late starship Roosevelt, survives in an escape pod.

In Earth orbit, the Galaxy-class starship Enterprise-D, faces off with the cube. And loses. Attempting to destroy the cube by ramming it, the resulting explosion leaves the cube only half-damaged and fully operational. The famous crew of the Enterprise has died, and now it's up to the rest of Starfleet... and the entire Alpha Quadrant... to deal with a frightening fact: The Borg have invaded Earth.

This is the novella that kicked off the popular online multi-player game, Where No One Has Gone Before. From an idea by Todd James.

Summary: Adventures are only considered adventures after they're over and the only thing that Captain James T. Kirk can do is reminisce about how months ago he was saving the planet, beating the odds against a black hole, and firing torpedoes at their Romulan foes. Now as the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise has begun work on one of their major functions (space exploration and mapping) he's beginning to realize that maybe being the captain of a fleet ship was not as glamorous as he once believed it to be.

Upon receiving a choppy distress signal sent to Starfleet from an uncharted planet, Kirk and his crew are off toward adventure again to rescue the survivors of a critically endangered species. The crew must scramble to solve the mystery of the hunt of the Odoculan race, and answer the question of their remarkable abilities before it's too late for their new comrade.

Her seemingly ageless appearance, her turbulent behavior and distrust in the crew make it difficult to study the aspects of her race. But the stone around her neck is not her deepest secret.

The Enterprise-D has been asked to transport 15 year old Katina Star, the granddaughter of Noznian Military General John Klopford, to the home base on the planet Noz, where her grandfather wishes to inform her that she will succeed him as General of the Noznian Military due to her uncle's mysterious disappearance. While on the Enterprise, she forms friendships with many of the crew, in particular a certain android.

Summary: In 2413 the United Federation of Planets and its allies are once again at war. Exploration is on the back-burner as Starfleet concentrates on defending the Federation’s heart from a blood-thirsty and violent species from the Gamma Quadrant as well as a growing threat from a well-organized militia trying to disrupt a Romulan-Reman accord.

Now odd occurrences at its back door begin to cause the UFP alarm, right on the eve of the budding peace initiative in the region. Something or someone is murdering supply ship commanders near the remote and normally calm edges of the Romulan Neutral Zone. The only eye-witness accounts describe the attackers as being ghosts.

Fresh off her fiery stint as the captain of a small Starfleet defense ship, the newly ordained commanding officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise-G, along with a tenacious band of defense ship commanders, are burdened with a task that will either bring peace to the region or will let the enemy run unabated through the galaxy, destroying everything the UFP holds dear…

…and really, what would that do to the family name?

Summary: When Q lost his powers in the episode "Deja Q", he never got them back. Three years later, Q is living aboard a starbase, working as a scientific advisor to the Federation in exchange for protection from his enemies... and about to kill himself in despair at what his life has become. Aside from Q himself and a flashback sequence aboard the Enterprise, all characters are mine.

Additional note, now that I've updated the ratings for Part IV: This is not a story about sex, but sex is part of being human, so I don't do maidenly fadeouts. It's also not a story about violence, but when part of the point is that a guy is a magnet for Very Bad Things happening because his bad behavior from the past several million years is catching up with him, I'm not going to pull punches there either. I've updated the rating to Mature Audiences because of Part IV, which contains sex and violence, but most of that stuff doesn't start showing up until then.
